Shabby Chic

Hi All!
I recently discovered Justrite stamps after catching one of the programs featuring them on Create and Craft. The first set I bought was 'Kindness' which fits in with the Spellbinders Labels 20 dies and then last week I bought the Shabby Labels which fit in with Labels 4.

There is lots of inspiration over on the fabulous Justrite website and their challenge this month is a sketch which I decided to have a go at. As I don't yet have a background stamp, I made my own background using one of the flourishes from the Kindness set using Peeled Paint Distress ink and Gold Brilliance ink. I used the Shabby Label as my focal image and coloured it with my Promarkers before inking the edges through the Spellbinders die. I then made a panel in the centre - cut with a Martha Stewart Cherish punch-  and added ribbon and flower to finish.

Inside I created a similar layout, stamping an area for a sentiment or message and embellished it with another of the images from the Shabby Labels set.

I hope you like my card. Why not pop over to the Justrite Friday Challenge and join in!

Thanks for looking.
Best wishes

Spring Bunny

Hi Everyone!
Well, I've been having a little play and this is what I've come up with. This little bunny is a stamp by Helz Cuppleditch and for a change I decided to try a combination of using my Promarkers, new Flexmarkers and paper piecing. The papers were First Edition - pretty and spring-like with plenty of lovely glitter. To create the sky background I used my Flex Markers and Distress Inks. Her whole body and water can is fussy cut and layered on top of a stamped image. (Hope you can see this - I should really have taken more pictures but I was in a hurry to get it in the post - having suddenly decided to send it once I'd done it!)

I then had a go at paper weaving to create the background and matted and layered this on copper card that I had punched with a Martha Stewart lace punch. Pearl pen and ribbon completed the layout before I stamped my Lili of the Valley circle sentiment.

I know this card used lots of techniques but I think it works. I'd love to hear what you think of it as it really was fun to make.
Anyway, I'm hoping to enter this card into:
Papertake Weekly's 'Bingo'challenge - (my row uses the punches, ribbon and free squares)
Passion for Promarkers - Cut Out Your Images
Allsorts Challenge - Spring has Sprung
Joanna Sheen - Spring into Spring

Thanks for popping by!

Spring is Here!

Afternoon All!
Back with another little creation - this time using the Wee Stamp called Peggy. Another great image which I coloured with my Promarkers and new Flex Markers (which are fab), before 3D -ing her. (Not sure 3D - ing is a word but you get the gist).

Anyway, the challenge this week over at Magnolia - licious and Wee Stamps is Spring Blossoms so I chose a pink and green colour scheme using some really pretty My Mind's Eye papers from an old release.

I made a banner style layout and embellished it with some lovely organza and sequinned braid before adding pearls and Stickles to the edges. The Martha Stewart punch was an old favourite lacey edged design.

To finish off I decorated the inside to match.

Anyway, off out to enjoy a bit more of the sun while it lasts! I'd also like to enter this card in the new challenge over at A Little Bit Crafty which is 'Anything Goes' and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is 'Happy Birthday'.
Thanks for looking!

Beautiful Berry

Hi Everyone!
Back with a new post today showing one of the digi stamps I bought from Wee Stamps called Berry. I know she is a Christmas/Winter stamp but I think she's lovely so, with snow all around us on the mountains, I whipped out my Christmas paper and got to work.

First I coloured Berry in an aqua blue and beige colour scheme in my Promarkers and matched her to the Bo Bunny 'Snowfall' paper collection which has some lovely glittery backgrounds. I die cut her out using Spellbinders Labels 10 and mounted her onto a Lacey Square die cut that I created from embossed gold card. By printing further digi's, I managed to colour various sections of Berry and her outfit, then layered them up to create a 3D image.

Finally, I mounted the Bo Bunny papers on brown and gold cardstock and created faux stitching around the edge by piercing the paper and joining the holes with white gel pen. I used the same method on the lacey border strip across the middle before adding pearl gems and a computer printed sentiment.

This is my first card made with a Wee Stamp digi and I must say I love the images - it won't be long before I'm back for more.
Inside of card decorated to match.

Anyway, I'd like to enter this card in this month's Whimsy Inspirations Challenge which is to used Stitching or Faux Stitching on your project. As aqua is my favourite colour to use on projects (at the moment LOL!) I would also like to enter this card in the I Love Promarkers challenge which this week is 'Your Favourite Colour'.

Hope you like my card, I'd love to know what you think!
Thanks for looking.
