Brambly Hedge Beauties

Well Folks...you're in for a treat as next Friday, the Pick of the Week on Create and Craft is a brand new Brambly Hedge Collection by Crafter's Companion.

This new range includes: 2 CDs each featuring images from two different stories:
High Hills/Sea Story
Poppie's Babies/Secret Staircase
The CDs enable you to make easel boxes, exploding boxes, rocker cards and much, much more.

There are also 4 A rubber stamp sets with images from:
High Hills, Sea Story, Poppie's Babies and Secret Staircase

So here is one of my samples, first using the papers and toppers to create a gift bag...
...and then using the Fabric Companions to decorate a little Baby Grow to go inside.
This collection is perfect for not only making cards, but also for making lovely gift ideas too!
Thanks for popping by and be sure to tune in to Create and Craft for the first show on Friday 5th September at 12 noon.
Best wishes and bye for now

Camden Town Pop Up

Afternoon All!

Today I thought I'd share a little pop up card tutorial with you. I made this little 6x4 inch card using images from the Camden Town CD from Crafter's Companion along with Core'dinations card stock.
Cut your green Coredinations card to 12 x 4 inches and score in half to make your card base. Print off the garden shed Card Companions page from the CD twice (one for the front of the card and one for the inside pop up) and cut out the elements ready to add dimension to your card.
Cut a piece of white card stock 11 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches, then score and fold in half. Border punch the top and bottom edges. Measure along the fold line 1 1/4 inches from each end and make two one inch cuts. This will make the pop out mechanism for inside your card.
Glue or tape inside your green card base making sure that you do not add glue to your pop up mechanism. Then glue the cut out elements to the mechanism for a 3D look.
Decorate the inside panels with the cut out bunting, ribbon border and 'birthday' sentiment.
Decorate the front of the card using elements cut from CD image and matt onto co-ordinating Core'dinations card. Create punched flowers and leaves in matching cardstock and decorate with pearls.
Hope you like this fun little card. You can apply the same techniques using similar elements from the Card Companions sections of the Crafter's companion CDs.

Thanks for popping by!
Best wishes

Red Nosed Rabbit

Hi All!
Today I thought I'd share a card I made using some of the fab Bebunni Christmas stamps from Crafter's Companion. I decided to use Kraft card as my base and embossed a background of Centura Pearl card using the Die'sire Chevrons Embossing Folder.

Finally, I created some fishtail banners and added punched snowflakes, gems and glitter for decoration.
Hope you like this card, I'd like to enter it into the ABC Christmas Challenge which this week is 'Quick and Easy', and the Creative Card Crew challenge is to use 'Embossing' on your card.
Best wishes and bye for now

Snowman Bunting

Morning All!
Today I thought I'd share something a little bit different. Using the new Snowman / Snowdog CD from Crafter's Companion I created some festive bunting.

I had such fun with this, making some lace rosette snowflakes and cutting different elements out from the CD, then decorating with glitter, ribbons, gems and diecuts. I think its good to have a change with what you make sometimes - it really gets your creative mojo going lol!

Anyway, hope you like it! I'd like to enter this in the 'Anything Goes for Christmas' challenge over at Winter Wonderland.
Bye for now

Snowdog Door Hanger

If you are looking to create something different for Christmas, then look no further than the new Snowman CD from Crafter's Companion that is due for release on Monday on Create and Craft.

There is a whole host of ideas on the CD - not only different shaped cards - but also Christmassy projects and decorations. I chose to make a door hanger in non-traditional colours, simply printed onto Centura Pearl cardstock for a bit of shimmer and decorated with Die'sire Snowflake dies and my own handmade lace rosettes. Add glitter and gems and you have a fab little decoration for your home.

Hope you like it! I'd like to enter it into the Sparkles Christmas Challenge which this month is 'Snowflakes'.

Merry and Bright

Morning All!
Back with a little easel card today using one of the Snowman stamps from last year's Crafter's Companion collection, teamed with the new Snowman CD due for release on Create and Craft on Monday.

These little images are so simple to colour with your Spectrum pens and pencils. Choose a background paper from the CD, matt your images onto a die cut shape - I chose the Die'sire Grace Frame cut from Silver Mirror Card for a bit of Christmas bling, then add gems, ribbon, snowflakes and glitter!

Hope you like this latest card. I'd like to enter it into the Christmas Cards All Year Round Challenge which is to add Sparkle and Glitter.
Best wishes and bye for now

Decadent Lady

Back with another quick post to share a card I made using the Hunkydory Decadent Days collection. Although some of the elements were from a concept card, I decided to cut it up and make my own version, layered up onto a DL card.

I love these Deco ladies and it is so easy to create a nice card with them just by adding some gems and a punched border!
Thanks for looking!

Flying Snowman

Morning All!
Well today I'm excited to share a card made using the new Snowman and Snowdog CD by Crafter's Companion which is being launched on Create and Craft this coming Monday.
This card used the elements from the Spring Card section of the CD, teamed with red and blue card stock that I embossed using the Die'sire Flower Power folder - a great standby if you don't yet have any snowflake embossing folders! Add ribbon, gems and glitter and your card is complete.
To finish off inside I printed one of the matching designer papers and elements and created my own insert!
Anyway, back tomorrow with more sneak peeks!
Best wishes and bye for now

Cycling Star

Hi All!
Today I'd like to share an easel card I made for this month's 'School Themed' challenge over at Crafter's Companion.

I decided to use some of the lovely images from the Angelica and Adam CD, teaming the little boy on his bike from the Card Companions section, with a football patterned background paper - also from the CD.

I remember doing my cycling proficiency at school, and can still remember how excited I was when I first rode my bike without stabilizers! That was a long time ago though now...lol!

Anyway, I thought this would be a great idea to create a card to give to your own 'Cycling Star' when they perfect their bicycling skills!
Hope you like this card. Why not pop over to the Crafter's Companion page and join in with this month's challenge!
Best wishes and bye for now

Trimming the Tree

Morning All!
Just thought I'd share a card I made using one of the fab Christmas Art Pads from Lili of the Valley. I  matted the image onto a die cut scalloped square of red card and create a background using the lovely papers and cut apart tags in the Love and Peace 6x6 pad from Lawn Fawn.

I love red, black and green together, so I followed this colour scheme with my embellishments by adding black polka dot ribbon and red dotty Card Candi.
Decorating the inside to match, I created a border with a Martha Stewart border punch before adding a sentiment using a favourite Waltzing Mouse Christmas stamp.

Hope you like it! I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:
